VBS FOUNDER SHANE SMITH ON HAVING EINSTEIN AS A GUIDE TO THE INS AND OUTS OF KINGSTON AND THE REST OF JAMAICA

Einstein's a tough guy from Spoilers, this really hard neighborhood in Kingston. Everyone we met was really nice to us, but he's the one who really hooked us up with things once we were down there. He said "You want to party? I'll take you to go party. You want to do this? I'll take you to do this." So he took us to Passa Passa for Wuddy Wuddy Wednesdays which we could never have gotten into without him (the whole time we were there, guys kept coming up and screaming at me while making guns with their hands--seriously, it never stopped), he took us up to where he was born in the hills, he took us where we needed to go to get supplies for our big mountain party and showed us how to slaughter a goat and make manish water. He was just super on it. And, at the time we were down there, he was just becoming the biggest artist in dancehall, so everywhere we went people were all yelling "Hey Einstein! Einstein!" and it got us access to basically anything we could have wanted down there. He was our blessing from the dancehall gods.
