New York - Drug Buddy
We all know theater is generally the bottom of the barrel as far as arts are concerned. As with all barrels though, every so often, a particularly juicy piece of bilge manages to float to the surface. Our buddy Alex Kilgore is directing a play by a young turk named David Folwell called Drug Buddy that has all the right ingredients for actually not sucking: fucking, drugs, Texas, carnage, base jumping, and etc. It's opening in two weeks at the Cherry Lane Theater in the West Village and if we can't sway you to break with your personal convictions as far as play-attendance goes, you should at least check out the before party tonight at Fat Baby where Spank Rock and Butthole Surfer Gibby Haynes will be representing the Old Dominion State and the Lone Star republic from the stage and DJ booth respectively.
