Happy goddamn Memorial Day already. Now that we've got a long weekend and it's a good 90 degrees everywhere except Canada we hope you're presently getting as stoned as we are. This week we are excited to bring you Vice Kills Jamaica (kills as in bowls over in amazement, not kills as in now is dead). Back in the winter we took a hefty chunk of our international crew down to the Caribbean (you may remember this from our video mission statement) to blow the lid off of Dancehall and every other aspect of Jamaican life worth knowin' bout. Once we're done here, we will have so thoroughly closed the book on anything interesting about this island that people will completely stop thinking about it and the whole place will shrivel up like a raisin and die in the world's imagination until it manages to come up with another awesome form of weed-charged boner music.
Today, we're taking things a little easy and just getting acquainted with Kingston, but we've also got two new DOs & DON'Ts & Friends with Skinema auteur Chris Nieratko, and a smattering of Dancehall vids in the music channel.
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Michael Kennedy, marketing coordinator at Slip-N-Slide Records in Miami Beach, Florida. We are the home of multi-platinum and gold selling artists, Rick Ross, Plies, and Trina. We have also welcomed three new artists; R&B/Pop vocalist Qwote, R&B songstress Shonie, and Reggae/Hip-Hop artist Camar, who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and has released his first single titled, "Loves The Flava." I am inquiring about setting up an interview between your company and Camar. At your earliest convenience, please email me with what needs to be done in order to make this opportunity happen. Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Michael Kennedy
