Did you go to Vice Live? Did your fun cup runneth over? Ours did, all over the place. But it was well worth it. All the bands lived up to their hype and all the shows were full. A big thanks to everyone who came.

Black Kids sound great, from what I've heard. Ipso Facto look great, from what I've seen. And Friendly Fires, I don't know too much about but I trust that they will be good too! Can't wait for the show in Manchester!

Posted by: cairn | 07/01/2008 at 17:00
hey,
you don't put the code anywhere, you just follow the link in the confirmation email, then you automatically get a second email through with the ticket on it.

Last night was fucking mental. never have I seen such a long queue, you'd think Radiohead were playing in brick lane again. had to blag my way in through the guestlist in the end. cheers to whoever that guy was, saved me waiting another hour in the freezing cold. oh and Black Kids were ace, FF, a few decent tunes. Ipso Facto, style over substance. top(shop) night out and it was all freee!!

While we were standing in line someone told me that Vice Live had been featured on "Free Stuff" which (for those of you who aren't miserly bastards) is the UK's leading freebie website. They scour all media – websites, newspapers, magazines and junk mail – to find bargains and discounts that they then pass on to their tight-fisted readers. So, alongside free cat food competitions and Quorn cottage pie special offers, there was a mention of the free Vice Live tour. That explains all the tramps who tried sneaking in.

thanks for giving out 10x as many guest list places as the capacity of the venue. that meant that hundreds of people were inevitably disappointed. couldn't you have just been realistic rather than trying to boost your profile by having the biggest queue possible?
Posted by: cheezed | 07/02/2008 at 16:54
guest list places - by which i mean 'free tickets', not the actual guest list.

my definition of a free parties is a DIY event of some kind, where you can bring your own booze and dance and bring anyone and they are technically illegal. It seems to completely different your definition being, tell everyone ipso facto are playing in brick lane and let them fight it out and queue half the night.the people free places in their tweed suits and with their super sharp asymetrical haircuts. And it was the same for your last vice party was it not? Loads of people left outside pissed off?
Yeah that's well fuckin cool

i went to vice live manchester, and i've never seen a bigger bunch of rude try hard pricks in my life. plus the bands were average at best...the buzz is totally manufactured and its more of the same bunch of pretentious arseholes with wonky hair do's and those stupid fucking white pumps on their sticking student feet that i used to wear for PE as a five year old...why can nobody see that they look like a bunch of twats who cant see how fucking stupid they look because they're too busy trying to look like other people who other people said were cool. once. by some twat NME hack. and don't fuck with me about my sentence construction.

haha, manc twats. thank god i live in london and dont have to put up with bitter northern arseholes.
Posted by: wonky hairdo | 29/02/2008 at 03:57
wonky hairdo - you cant really generalise everyone from manchester a 'manc twat'. to be honest id rather be a nothern arsehole than a southern prick with a very annoying accent. at least i wasnt lining up miles round brick lane freezing my arse off, if you wanted to have a good night you should have got there earlier. 'bunch of pretentious arseholes with wonky hair do's' - i second that.
