You know what happens to unruly vaginas? Yeah, nothing...or so we thought, until we met filmmaker Heather Leach, who made a documentary about vaginoplasty. That's fancy talk for "snatch-lift." In case Vice's magazine interview with her about labia slicing didn't freak you out enough to swear off cold cuts until next year, why not watch the actual movie she made? if you're using Internet Explorer you can watch the whole thing, uninterrupted, by clicking here. Otherwise, click below.
Part 1
Part 2
the girl they show getting the "reduction" didn't even have a nasty hanging set of lips like i was expecting. looked fairly normal.

All this about vagina and nothing about penis size. Welcome to inequality.

Um, it's a documentary about vaginoplast. Of course there's no discussion of penis size. What was your review of Spellbound? "Cute, but there could have been more about model UN."

some doctor cut off my forskin where is the outrage
Posted by: | 04/11/2008 at 23:56
i got my forskin chopped of because it is the norm. i was never asked someone did it when i was born and the only reason it was done is because some girls view dicks with foreskin as ugly and unclean

This documentary was absolutely amazing. I have always felt insecure about the way I look down there but I think after watching that, I won't feel so bad anymore!

Wow! Wonderfully helpful and educational. Really helped a chick like me.

It's amazing and depressing people care so much about the appearance of vaginas with everything else happening in the world.
Pretty sure I couldn't date a girl who was interested in this procedure.

This is messed up man...
It is also messed up that circumcision is still practiced on around 80% of male babies born in the US...organized mutilation that cuts down sexual pleasure by up to 50% due to the glans of the penis being desensitized without its protecting foreskin.
This problem isn't nearly as indemic, but certainly just as disturbing in the fact that women are CHOOSING and seeking out their genital mutilation...no longer do ill-informed doctors come to them.
Girls: Straight men love vagina. If a dude complains about your labia he's probably just upset that he is too afraid to admit to himself he prefers penises.
Dudes: If you're uncircumsized, stop worrying. The sex feels better for women because the foreskin acts as a rolling bearing for lubrication.
And to all: If your sexual partner ever gives you shit about your junk, don't let them have any of it.
Natural bodies boi.

By the way, which one is hers?

Omg, I found this site because I was wondering about why I had very little to no labia and no hood. I thought I was strange! Now come to find that other women have theirs cut off is absolutely crazy! Thank you very much for this production, because it now makes me see myself as just a normal girl.

It's a bit ironic that she's telling us to love our fannies when she's not willing to show even the cast of hers! ha
