One of my best friends recently told me that he slept with my ex-girlfriend about a year ago while we were still dating. The really shitty part is that my ex and I have been talking about possibly getting back together (I broke up with her, just for the record) and now I'm not sure I can trust her ever again. I'm really confused because on one hand I want to go over to my buddy's house and stick an ice pick in his neck, but on the other hand he did own up to it while she just pretended nothing ever happened. Ron, you've got to tell me: Who should I blame? What should I do?

I wouldn’t mind using an ice pick on my boy because if he was really your friend, he never would have slept with your girl. Man up to it or not, you don’t sleep with your man’s girl—period. Granted, he told you the truth, but he's supposed to be your man, dude. There are certain things that are totally off-limits and that is one of them. It's like if someone I know was secretly dating my best friend’s sisters—it’s not going to work. It shouldn’t have happened in the first place. He told you, so maybe you shouldn't stab him with the ice pick, but you definitely need to check his chin. 

If he still wants to be your friend make him come with you to confront her and tell her that he felt so bad he had to confess. Also, make him feel your pain by forcing him to explain exactly what happened. Did he just fall and land inside of her? 

As for the girl, I wouldn’t trust her. Never go back with someone who does you wrong like that. If she cheats on you once, she’ll cheat on you again. The worst part is that it's not like she cheated on you with somebody you didn’t even know. She played you with your good friend. Totally, totally, you gotta bounce on her. For the record, I’d probably want to check her chin too, but that might be going overboard. But ideally, if this happened to me, I would get them both in a room, check their chins, and then we could let it all go. Or they could wait for the ice pick. The choice is theirs. 

Oh, and if you consider getting back with her I'll come over there and take the ice pick to you, because you're an idiot. You know what I’m saying? Let it go. Move on. Find somebody else who’s going to love you for you.
