BA BA BA BA BE A MAN
The first time we saw Atlanta's Black Lips, there were fireworks. Literally. Before the show was over, dicks were out, make out sessions were happening on and off stage and the gathered faithful were christened in beer and in love with the Black Lips. Through their previous 3 records on Bomp! and In the Red, the Black Lips have exploded to the forefront of a scuzz-garage, flower punk fraternity of constantly touring, piss poor kids making rock and roll cause they literally couldn't do anything else.
So now that they're on VICE, what're we going to do together? Well first, we shipped them off to play an impossibly insane show in Tijuana and put John Reis (Drive Like Jehu, Rocket From the Crypt, Hot Snakes) behind the controls. The result, Los Valientes Del Mundo Nuevo manages to capture the chaos of their live show (they kidnapped a Mariachi band to play with them for fuckssake) and pounds out some of the greatest hits of their past records.
ok so when is Ariba Tijuana coming out? and is it going to be released on vinyl?

It's out February 20 and the Black Lips are gonna release the vinyl on their own label, 'Die Slaughterhaus'!
